"Think of your thyroid as something like the thermostat in your house," explained Dr. Al Driedger on the segment. "It’s the regulator of energy. If it isn’t working well, you feel cold and tired and cranky, and your mind slows up. If it’s jammed in the ‘on’ position, then the house is overheated, regardless of the season."
